IS (Independence Studios) was established in 1987 as a wholesaler of Homewares, Gifts and Specialty Toys. Our buyers travel the world sourcing the ultimate in cutting edge design, originality and function to supply to our Australian and New Zealand retail customers. We are proud to exclusively represent some of the greatest brands from around the world.
Our Offices are located on the northern Beaches region of Sydney, nice and close to beautiful Manly Beach. The Building its self is the first of it's kind in Australia, designed to produce low greenhouse gas emissions with a renewable energy infrastructure minimising our impact on the environment as much as we possibly can.
Five Percent of all profits generated are donated to people less fortunate than us, here in Australia and to our neighbors in Indonesia.
How did we come from the market stalls in Paddington NSW 25 years ago to where we are today? Quite simply, because what we do is SO much fun and we love it. Hopefully we can bring a little of that fun, functional and cool designs into your home, work and wherever you like to hang out!
